How we helped:
The second phase of Sir Frederick Gibberd College's development was a crucial step in continuing to provide an excellent learning environment for over 650 pupils. Although smaller than the first phase, this expansion introduced additional specialist learning classrooms to help the school maintain its high standards of education. Located within a bustling residential area, every aspect of delivery was carefully planned to ensure minimal disruption for both the local community and the students.
Once again, Portakabin stepped in as a trusted supplier, delivering the new facilities quickly and efficiently to enable pupils to return to face-to-face learning without delay. The additional 16 teaching spaces brought the total number of teaching locations across both phases to 54, each thoughtfully designed to meet the specific needs of the school. Our extensive network proved valuable, and we sourced buildings from across our business from as far as Ireland, to Birmingham, Bridgwater, and York to support this project.
Through the process, we worked closely with the school to accommodate design changes and ensure the new spaces met the unique requirements of both staff and students. The delivery team were able to keep track of numerous design alterations while at the same time providing a high-quality solution that meets the standards of a permanent school building.
